Jake joined the Joint Program in Philosophy and Classics in 2017 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Classics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and spending a year as a visiting student at St. Anne’s College, Oxford. His primary area of interest is ancient Greek and Roman science and philosophy (particularly metaphysics, epistemology, and logic). He is currently researching explanatory methods in Aristotle’s biological treatises, as well as their relation to the rest of the Aristotelian corpus. He is also partial to contemporary metaphysics and philosophy of language.
