Benjamin joined the department and the combined Classics and Philosophy Program in 2018. He completed his BPhil in philosophy at Oriel College, Oxford in 2017 where his thesis was a commentary on a section of Aristotle’s Physics Book VIII. In 2015, he received his A.B. in philosophy at Princeton University writing another Aristotelian commentary on part of De Anima Book II. His primary interest is in the metaphysics and natural philosophy of Aristotle as well as Plato and ancient philosophy generally. He also has interests in contemporary metaphysics.
