Joanna Lawson

Joanna joined the department in 2018, after completing a master’s in philosophical theology at Oxford and spending three years in the PhD program at UNC, Chapel Hill. She is interested in metaphysics and epistemology, especially in understanding how our perspectival experience of the world can help inform metaphysics. In her spare time, she enjoys playing board games, reading novels, critically evaluating professional athletes’ hairstyles, and going on adventure-walks with her hound dog. She is married to the incredibly talented philosopher (and generally awesome human being) Chris Blake-Turner.
