The Philosophy department is committed to fostering an environment that is supportive, respectful, and inclusive for all members of our community. We recognize that a healthy community is essential for realizing our vision of philosophizing well together, with special attention paid to the obstacles and biases faced by members of underrepresented groups in our discipline.
These commitments involve all of us. There are, however, several bodies within the department focused specifically on issues of climate and diversity. Department members should feel free to reach out to these bodies at any time with questions, concerns, suggestions, or to get involved:
