Michael Della Rocca delivers Whitehead Lectures

Michael Della Rocca is delivering the Alfred North Whitehead Lectures at Harvard University May 1 and 2. The lectures are titled “The Parmenidean Ascent: Substance” and “The Parmenidean Descent: Action, Knowledge and Fellow Travelers.” Della Rocca works mainly in early modern philosophy, especially Spinoza, but has lately branched out in his study of monism to include thinkers such as Parmenides and Bradley.
