Isabelle is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Philosophy Department and the Classics Department at Yale University. She received her PhD in philosophy from Sorbonne University and the University of Montreal in 2021. Her main area of research is ancient ethics, with focus on Socratic and Hellenistic schools of philosophy. She also has special interest in the ancient historiography of philosophy and in ancient women philosophers. She has published papers on Cynicism, mendicancy and Democritus, and co-edited the book Women’s Perspectives on Ancient and Medieval Philosophy (Springer, 2021). During her appointment at Yale (2022-2024), she is working on a new edition and French translation of the Epitome of Stoic Ethics transmitted by Stobaeus.
