Kaidi joined the department in 2023 after finishing his BA in philosophy and linguistics at University of Chicago. His major interests lie at: 1) the interface of epistemology and normative reasons/metaethics, 2) the interface of linguistics and philosophy of language, and 3) some persisting themes in the history of early modern and analytic philosophy. Besides these major interests, he’d happy if you talk to him about anything, literally, ANYTHING.
Out of the armchairs, he is a classical music enthusiast who is trying to go through the entire discography of Gustav Mahler, and an amateur cyclist who used to getting badly hurt in bike races — he still kinda do, but he used to too.
