Antimo Lucarelli

Antimo Lucarelli

Postdoctoral Fellow

Antimo Lucarelli obtained his PhD from the Institute of Languages, Cultures and Societies at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with a dissertation on The Eternal Who Dies: A Study in the Philosophy of Existence. In Conversation with Ernst Bloch, Martin Heidegger, and Emanuele Severino. His supervisors were Johan Siebers and Charles Burdett, and his examiners Howard Caygill and Peter Flügel.

Antimo’s research at Yale, where he is supervised by Michael Della Rocca, focuses on establishing and systematically developing the notion of contemporary Neo-Parmenideanism. This is understood as the recovery of Parmenides’ radical philosophical discourse by contemporary philosophers, especially Emanuele Severino and Michael Della Rocca. Since its beginnings, Antimo’s own philosophical work has been intended to position itself within this theoretical framework (cf. Antimo Lucarelli, Per un nuovo concetto di fenomeno, Soveria Mannelli: Rubbettino, 2021).
